Kriss Vector CRB Gen 3 – Breaking the Mold Again
The Kriss Vector has always been one of the most unique-looking firearms on the market — and it’s not just the looks that make it stand out. Its unconventional design and innovative Super V recoil mitigation system have kept it relevant for over a decade. In this hands-on review, I got the chance to test out the latest iteration: the Kriss Vector CRB Gen 3.
For transparency, this rifle was loaned to me by Kriss USA. This is not a paid or sponsored review. Everything you’ll read here is based entirely on my own time with the platform, and all range testing was conducted safely and in full alignment with YouTube’s firearm content policies.
Having owned a Gen 2 Vector for a while, I was naturally curious to see what the Gen 3 brought to the table. At SHOT Show 2025, I was able to get a full rundown from the Kriss team. From there, it went straight to the range.
The Gen 3 features subtle design changes and improvements that mostly build on the proven formula rather than reimagine it. The core operating system — the delayed blowback mechanism with the unique downward-traveling bolt — is still here and just as smooth. Recoil control is exceptional, especially for a PCC.
At the range, the Gen 3 delivered what I expected from a Kriss: minimal muzzle rise, fast follow-up shots, and that familiar futuristic aesthetic. If you’ve shot a Vector before, the feel is unmistakable — and the Gen 3 stays true to that identity. While the upgrades may not be groundbreaking, they do refine what was already a strong platform.
So, is the Gen 3 Vector a major leap forward? Not exactly. But if you’re looking for a refined version of one of the most unique carbines available — or you’re new to the Vector platform altogether — this model is definitely worth a look.
Whether you see it as a range toy, a conversation starter, or a home defense option, the Kriss Vector Gen 3 continues to carve out its own lane in the PCC world.
